Open Science Barometer

Since 2022, Ecole Centrale de Lyon has been implementing the national open science barometer at local level. These indicators track the progress of open publications, and the methods used to open them up.

The Open Science Barometer, set up at the end of 2019 at national level by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, aims to measure progress in open access to research results.

It is part of the Plan National pour la Science Ouverte and brings together a whole set of graphs relating to the rate and methods of opening up publications.

Since January 2022, the Ministry has been proposing to decline this barometer locally on the basis of a list of publication DOIs provided by establishments. You will find below several graphs from Centrale Lyon's open science barometer, classified by theme: publications, disciplines, publishers and open archives.

These barometers can also be adapted to the scale of laboratories: don't hesitate to contact us via the form "Services à la Recherche - Open Access, HAL, Bibliométrie" if you'd like us to help you set it up.
