Over 160 years of history
Founded in 1857, Centrale Lyon has had a library from the outset.
Over the years, this has built up an old collection, mainly comprising works from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
On the occasion of the École's 150th anniversary, the Michel Serres library has put the "History of the École centrale de Lyon" website online.
This site contains several of these early works, supplemented by articles tracing the broad outlines of the establishment's history.
It also brings together a collection of postcards of the École dating from the early 20th century and the digitized collection of Technica magazine, the École's alumni journal, from 1904 to 1947.
