Read and Publish subscriptions: don't pay to publish in open access!
Among the library's subscriptions with major scientific publishers, some allow, in addition to access to articles, open access publication in the relevant journals, free of charge (no Article Processing Charges or APC). At Centrale Lyon, these "Read and Publish" agreements exist with Elsevier, Springer, IOP, Cambridge and Wiley. Find out all about these agreements: their benefits, limitations and eligible journals on the new "Read and Publish Subscriptions" page in our Research Services section.

DATALystE launch day: online replay
The Network of data management clusters, coordinated by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), aims to offer local support for research data management and openness, by pooling the actions and expertise across institutions.
Following the official recognition in January of the Lyon Saint-Etienne Data Workshop (DATALYstE), Centrale Lyon hosted its launch day on June 30. A website, a single point of contact and educational resources have already been created as part of the workshop. The video of the roundtable on data reuse, which included Christoph Brandstetter discussing data sharing in the CATANA project, is available on Replay Centrale Lyon.
Resources
Online examples of data management plans
The library, in conjunction with Centrale Lyon's computing center, offers support for writing Data Management Plans (DMPs), which are deliverables required by research funders (ANR, ERC...). One of the main challenges researchers face is the lack of available examples of completed DMPs. RDA France addresses this need by providing a collection of disciplinary data management plans that can be used as examples. This collection is regularly updated and, while it does not yet cover all disciplines, already includes DMPs in Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, and Electrical Engineering.
Practical Guides from the Data Workshops
The Data Workshops (see news above on DATALystE for more info) produce practical materials to help researchers manage and share their research data. A Zotero online library now provides access to all these guides, organized according to the stages of the data lifecycle.
Tool(s)
Data Centrale Lyon: share your research data!
For the past year, Centrale Lyon has been operating Data Centrale Lyon, an institutional space on the national research data repository, Recherche.data.gouv. Around twenty datasets have been deposited so far, with over 10,000 views and nearly 5,000 downloads. Each dataset is assigned a DOI, making it citable and linkable to a publication.
The repository provides a solution for sharing data in any context: ANR-funded projects with open data requirements, requests from publisher or reviewers during the publication process, etc. Each submission undergoes curated and receives support from the library and the computing center. Feel free to submit your data, and don't hesitate to contact us with any questions, contact us at donnees-recherche@listes2.ec-lyon.fr.

Save the date!
Developed by Inist-Cnrs, Click & Read is an easy-to-use extension that can be installed in your daily environment, providing shared access to scientific publications. The extension scans the webpage you visit for document identifiers (DOI, PMID, PII) and adds a C&R button if the resource is available. For information on dates and connection links, click here !
Grenoble Alpes University is organizing a webinar on Thursday, September 18th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, focusing on the issue of reproducibility during the PhD, presented by three PhD students. An email with all the details and the connection link will be sent shortly to the PhD students of Centrale Lyon.
