Kick-off: DATALystE! Lyon Saint-Étienne data workshop launch day

The data workshop network, coordinated by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), aims to offer local support, by academic site, in managing and opening up research data, by pooling the actions and expertise of participating establishments.

Since 2023 and the launch of the reflections, Centrale Lyon has actively participated, jointly with 13 other establishments, in the work carried out with a view to the labellisation, obtained in January 2025, of DATALystE, the Data Workshop of the Lyon Saint-Etienne site. Un site web, un guichet unique de contact, des ressources pédagogiques ont déjà été créés dans le cadre de l'atelier. For example, Centrale Lyon hosts an instance of Whisper, enabling the site's researchers to automatically transcribe their interviews, and has created an educational escape game on research data management, organized in November 2024 and shared on HAL.

On the occasion of this labeling, DATALystE offers all research staff (PhD students, teacher-researchers, engineers, support staff..) a launch day to present the organization, operation and services of DATALystE, and to reflect together on the next actions to be taken.

This day will take place on the Ecully campus of Ecole Centrale de Lyon, on Monday June 30 from 9am to 4pm, with a morning devoted to a presentation and a round table, and an afternoon with several workshops to choose from.
