Visit to the "Zombis, aux origines" exhibition at the Musée des Confluences

The library is offering a guided tour of the new exhibition at the Musée des Confluences on Saturday, December 6 at 10:30 am.

This visit, taken care of by the library, is free and open to the entire Centralian community on both campuses.

"Beyond the contagious undead imaginary of cinema and pop culture, the exhibition takes you to Haiti on the trail of myth. Here, on the bangs of voodoo culture, we find the zombie, an unrepentant criminal judged by a secret society and condemned to an end worse than death. The origins of this figure lie in a complex association between the religions of sub-Saharan Africa, the cultures of indigenous Caribbean populations and the traumas of slavery. Discover the history of these little-known beliefs, still very much alive today."
