François Sarano is a doctor of oceanography, professional diver and founder of the Longitude 181, former research director of the Deep Ocean Odyssey program, expedition leader and former scientific advisor to Commandant Cousteau.
He will be coming to the Lyon-Écully campus on Monday December 15 to present his special links with the ocean, through his experiences as an oceanographer, diver and his twenty years of expeditions aboard Calypso.
He will address the scientific, biological, but also human aspects of this relationship, showing how the sea shapes our understanding of living things and our place on the planet.
