To mark the Printemps de la donnée (Springtime for data), the library and the Computing Centre are offering all Centrale Lyon researchers a "deposathon" of research data on the Data Centrale Lyon warehouse on recherche.data.gouv throughout the month of April.
From March 20 to June 24 takes place the "printemps de la donnée", a national event aimed at highlighting local initiatives around the production, sharing and reuse of research data, in a context of open science.
On this occasion, Centrale Lyon's library and computing center is offering all researchers on the Ecully and Saint-Etienne campuses a "deposathon" of research data throughout the month of April. The aim is to feed the Data Centrale Lyon space, created last year on the national research data warehouse, recherche.data.gouv, and to enable everyone to test depositing and sharing datasets on the warehouse.
What's the point of publishing my data on Data Centrale Lyon?
- Depositing on Data Centrale Lyon grants a DOI to your datasets, linked to the possible DOI of your publication, and makes them citeable. According to a study published in PLOS ONE, scientific articles with associated open data are 25% more cited.
- The repository makes it possible to meet the open science requirements/recommendations of funders and tutelles, and to share data on sovereign national solutions rather than on publisher warehouses or private platforms.
- The repository itself only takes a few minutes, and we make every effort, while curating the data, to make any possible modifications directly and propose them to you (on metadata in particular).

Launch on April 1 from 1 to 1:30 p.m. in amphi 203
To launch the deposathon, we're offering a presentation session on April 1 from 1:00 to 1:30 pm in amphi 203, or via the link https://ec-lyon-fr.zoom.us/my/njardinecl :
- Presentation of the deposathon and the Data Centrale Lyon space
- Demonstration of a dataset repository
- Feedback from a depositor
